The International Business Opportunities Centre (IBOC) has received information regarding a tender opportunity from the Canadian High Commission in Georgetown, Guyana. The details are as follows:
Drainage and Irrigation Project - Supply of Equipment - Loan No.9/SFR-GU - Contracts GUY-CDB 03 and GUY-CDB 04 - Invitation for Bids.
The Government of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana (GOG) has received a loan from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) to assist in meeting the cost of implementing the Drainage and Irrigation Project, which is implemented by the Guyana Sugar Corporation Inc. (GUYSUCO); a Project Manager within GUYSUCO will be responsible for the day-to-day management of project activities. Engineering consultants have been retained by GUYSUCO to prepare designs and contract documentation and to assist in tender administration and supervision of project activities.
GUYSUCO now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply and delivery CIF Georgetown of the following equipment:
- Contract GUY-CDB 03:
(a) Axial flow drainage pump sets (2) each rated at 2 500l/s operating at a static head of approximately 3.04m and equipped with electric motor drives.
(b) Axial flow drainage pump sets (2) each rated at 2 100l/s operating at a static head of approximately 3.45m and equipped with electric motor drives.
(c) Axial flow drainage pump sets (4) each rated at 3 350l/s operating at a static head of approximately 3.35m. The pumps to be suitable for connection to new diesel drives already procured under a separate contract.
- Contract GUY-CDB 04:
(a) Diesel engine drives (2) operating at 1 800-2 100rpm. Right angle gearboxes and drive couplings are included in the equipment scope of supply. Power absorbed by the pumps ranges from 90kW to 340kW.
(b) Electric motor drives and starters (5), power rating ranges from 105kW to 210kW approximately.
Only suppliers from CDB抯 member countries and the Kingdom of the Netherlands are eligible to bid. All goods to be supplied must originate in eligible source countries. Suppliers whishing to submit bids may obtain the required documents from the address below, and must be accompanied by a non refundable fee of G$10,000 per contract, or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency.
