As identified by Stan Schreier in a latest article on the ATCA (Antique Telephone Collectors Association) site, a more modern network may even be used, e.g. one from a Contempora phone, or an ITT 427 or 1427. These are smaller than the 425A. Will match nicely into the coin field area. In his article, Stan reveals a detailed-up of my telephone and a detailed-up of its relay, and the connections to Contempora, ITT 427 or 1427 networks. Replacing the coin relay, is a small relay mounted beside the coin hopper. A small ringer and capacitor could also be hidden on this space. The network needs to be insulated (use your imagination, i.e. a sandwich bag, and situated in the coin field space). It is a simple matter to chop back the insulation on the telephone facet of the handset cord to make it appropriate to be used on the phone. The next are some benefits of participant teleconferencing that would undoubtedly entice you to use it for your self. |
