周二晚上暴风雨警告,小心大风闪电。。。。
Warnings
City of Winnipeg 10:59 PM CDT Tuesday 25 June 2013 Severe thunderstorm warning for City of Winnipeg continued
At 11:00 PM CDT, meteorologists are tracking a line of potentially severe thunderstorms from St Laurent to just west of Winnipeg to Altona moving east. These thunderstorms are producing frequent lightning and are capable of wind gusts to 90 km/h along with heavy downpours with localized flooding.
Take cover, if threatening weather approaches, within a sturdy building, away from windows.
Strong wind gusts with large hail can damage property, break windows, dent vehicles and cause serious injury. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods.
Avoid driving through water on roads. Even shallow fast moving water across a road can sweep a vehicle away.
Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.
In Canada, lightning kills up to 10 people every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors.
Environment Canada continues to monitor the situation closely. Please continue to monitor your local media or Weatheradio for further updates. If you would like to report severe weather, you can call 1-800-239-0484 or send an email to storm@ec.gc.ca.
Updated or ended by 11:30 PM CDT.
