Winnipeg Transit's new fare structure continues to offer substantial reductions in fares for seniors and qualifying students. Winnipeg Transit reminds all customers that tickets and passes provide the best value compared to paying cash fares. 2010 bus tickets (plus the cash difference) will be accepted until March 31, 2011. Tickets (sold in strips of 5 or 10) and passes are available at over 140 retail outlets throughout Winnipeg. For a complete list of retail locations, Transit customers can check the Transit Guide in the Yellow Pages, or visit www.winnipegtransit.com. The Transit website also has information on the 15% federal tax credit available to weekly and monthly pass purchasers - as do the customer service representatives at 311.
